Wolverine Anime

The upcoming Wolverine Anime trailer was shown during the NYCC and it was leaked.

seems like it's going to be based on the frank miller mini-series which will then make it similar to the upcoming Wolverine 2 movie. I think Mariko, Shingen (whose name i just had to google), and Yukio were shown in the trailer. This looks and feels way more Wolverine than the preview that was released last year, which made Wolverine look like a half-man half-demon type of character with a mullet. Good thing that thing was just a screen test of sorts.

It's a fairly good price for a FS statue at $160.00, though expect to pay around $200.00 if you'll get it from a retailer. It'll be more than a foot in height so it is fairly big. Bowen says it'll ship out at January 2011 but i have a feeling it'll be delayed, which isn't necessarily a bad thing since I'll be able to save up more money.

Review: Wolverine Road To Hell One-Shot

I know it's a week late..but ehh.

Around a week before this one-shot was released, I tried to ask around if this one would have sort of a prologue to the 4 "Wolverine" books (Wolverine, X-23, Daken, Uncanny X-Force) or it would just contain previews of what will be inside those books. Most told me to stay away from the book since it'll just contain previews, i went with my gut feeling and ordered it anyway. I'm happy to say that these are actually separate prologues..There are a total of FIVE different stories so i'll review them separately..

FALLING

The art is going to be different from the one in the regular Wolverine book. But it fits in nicely with the dark tone of the story. I also give props to whoever drew Wolverine without the adamantium claws, this sends the message that his actual body isn't really the one that is falling. We get to find out here that Wolverine has NO IDEA how he started to fall. We also see some flashbacks of him doing the thing he does best. The dialogue is minimal though the monologue is plenty. There's also an appearance of two characters from his past: a major wolverine baddie and someone who might or might not be his relative. This prologue does the job done of making you want to read and get the Wolverine book. As a bonus, we also get some sketches of Wolverine and other characters in the end of this chapter.

BRACE FOR IMPACT:

There are two writers here since the prologue is a combination of Daken's and Laura's. The artwork for both parts are also different, which isn't really that noticeable until you get to the last page. I think that one was a nice touch. In the story, both Daken and Laura are going after the same person but for very different reasons. The plan for both of them goes down the drain. I'm not sure if this chapter sets up the first storyarc of the same book since the previews for both of them don't really seem to be related to this one. I think the main point of this chapter was to entice those who plan to get Daken to also check out Laura and vice versa. It certainly got me thinking if I should add Daken to my regular list. Daken sketches were also found after the story, Daken's new look really looks bad. Dan Way is contradicting himself here, he said around a year ago that Daken doesn't need a costume since he never really shows himself. Ehh..

THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF YOUR LIFE

Hmm, I was so used to Kyle/Yost's action packed X-Force that I'm a bit surprised that not a lot happened here. Sure, there was a short action sequence on the end but it was mostly filled with them talking. Not really a bad thing since the dialogue is nice. It also got me curious about the Archangel/Psylocke dynamic. The prologue also shows how they plan to use Deadpool, though I don't think it'll work if we found out that Deadpool found out about Apocalypse unintentionally or that it wasn't supposed to happen but it might be the case. It's probably the least exciting among the three prologues but it's good enough, it'll get you curious but not as much as the other two.

As a bonus, we also get actual previews of Namor's book and the Generation of Hope book. They're pretty much the first few pages of the actual 1st issue. The GoH part isn't colored yet, it did get me curious about the book though but because of a limited budget, I won't be getting it anytime soon. the Namor part is already colored since it's coming out sooner, it's a tie-in with the Curse of the Mutants event. I'm not a fan of that current story so I'm going to pass on Namor too.

Overall, the three main stories are pretty good. This is a nice introduction and filler if you're still waiting for those books to arrive. Plus the added bonus of having two more previews wouldn't hurt since it's basically priced as an average comic. I suggest to go get this one if you're on the fence about whether or not you want to get one of the four books included so you'll have a good feel as to how it'll be.

Uncanny X-Force Trailer

first, i want to give credit to Psylocke - Like a Butterfly for posting this one.

okay, the video was nice. it wasn't something that gave me goosebumps all over my body but it did get me excited about the upcoming series. The Wolverine voice was good too, though I'm willing to bet the voice actor isn't used to speaking like that. He lost it on more than one ocassion but still, it was okay since speaking like that had to hurt his throat. good job.

I'll definitely get this. This would be the main attraction of my collection. I can't wait to have this one. I'll make a review of this one once I get it, which I probably will. It's going to be a regular release so I'm going to make sure I get to see the next few Diamond Select Previews to anticipate to release.

Wolverine In Hell

Come September, Wolverine Weapon X will end and Jason Aaron will be writing the new ongoing Wolverine. It'll be the Fourth Volume of the Wolverine title (1st being the mini-series, 2nd is the 1988-2003 run, 3rd started in 2003 and was replaced by Dark Wolverine after issue 74).

The 1st storyarc will deal with Wolverine in Hell. I don't know how he'll get there, theories range from Nightrawler's request, to the eye of Aggamotto. A lot of people aren't too excited about this, saying it's been done already blah, blah. But I'm actually looking forward to reading this one, why?
- Of the more recent Wolverine writers, Jason Aaron is probably the best.
- His Wolverine Weapon X run was great, other than the final storyarc with the Deathlocks.
- He was able to put Wolverine in different situations and made it an interesting read.
- Wolverine in Hell, facing of against all those he killed and put there!
Yes, in that teaser piture (probably a cover) you can see Sabretooth, Gorgon, Hand, Hydra, Nazi, and a Japanese guy who may or may not be Mariko's father.

Whil Wolverine is stuck in hell, a demon will possess his body. Terrorizing people in the Marvel Universe!It might have been done already in Enemy of The State but that was one hell of a ride, plus this time I think everyone knows that he's possessed. You might ask how the X-Men will take this, well it's been said in an interview that in issue 4, Wolverine's body will take on Colossus! Fastball special anyone?

For those of you who are still on the fence for getting this one, I suggest you do. Jason Aaron's Wolverine is more of as hit that a miss for most of the time. He writes entertaining stories, whether it be something that's never been done before (Wolverine in a Mental Institute) or something that seems to be done every now and again (Adamantium Men). We'll see how this thing goes, but given Aaron's track record..it's going to be one hell of a ride (pun not really that intended).

Kotobukiya X-Force Wolverine PVC Statue

I already stated during my SDCC 2010 blog that this statue is still in my "not sure" list. One of the biggest reasons as to why I'm not sure about getting this yet is because it uses the same sculpt as the upcoming Tigerstripe Wolverine statue and that one really doesn't seem right to me, it looks like the body is really buldging but then the torso area seems real flat. Plus you can see the part where the head disconnects to the body. The negatives are really seen here but thanks to the dark colors of the X-Force uniform, it's not as evident there.
I'm still undecided about whether or not I'll get the X-Force Wolverine when it comes out (I'm not getting the other 2 versions). But lately it's been growing on me quite a bit. Unlike the Bowen X-Force Wolverine, which to me seems almost perfect (since Randy Bowen said that the underwear thing has been fixed already), I have a few things that I don't like about this piece. One of them is still the fact that it uses the same sculpt as Tigerstripe Wolverine, which means the problems I have with the torso are still there. I also don't like the base at all. They could've just made it the Danger Room Base depicting a war torn industrial place, or maybe if they wanted to make it differently they coulld have used dead purifier bodies as the base. I also think that the muscles are a bit overboard on this sulpt, I actually prefer the less muscular looks of most of today's comics compared to the bulky drawings that were almost considered as the norm during the 90s. Here's an example..this 1st picture seems to be the default Wolverine picture during the 90s or early 00s.
As you can see it's real bulky and overly muscular, it looks great in the comic books as long as it's not overly done, just the right amount of exagerrated muscles is nice enough. The style of the Kotobukiya Wolverine Statue reminds me of this style.

Still muscular but not overly done, i prefer this one a whole lot more. Most of my busts have this type of body style, even my SDCC exclusive Kotobukiya X-Force Wolverine.

I must admit that even though I don't like the sculpt that much, it has a certain appeal that makes me want to get this thing. The X-Force costume seems to be highly detailed with the boots, gloves, mask and even the design around the knee. It's really similar to how Mike Choi drew Wolverine's X-Force uniform in the comic books. It has a real dynamic pose. It's the kind of pose that you can imagine Wolverine doing right before he screams and starts to attack. Plus, there's also news that the sculpt of this thing isn't final yet and that the base will be changed, so that's good news for me. I think that this piece is something that might not be for everyone but for those who like it, they'll like it very much. And i think the biggest perk of this piece is that it will most probably come with an unmasked head. I already told you earlier about the head not being a part of the whole body, the reason is that you can exchange the head with an unmaksed one. As of now, I'd probably get this if it'll be cheaper than the Bowen X-Force Wolverine (I'm assuming the Bowen will drop at no more than $200, so this one i'm hoping will be around $150), if it's going to be released a few months after the Bowen one (if i have the money, i'll get this 100%), and if they do something about the base. I really really don't like the base, it seems out of place. They could go with my earlier siggestions or even just remove the brown part altogether and just place him on a bigger gargoyle, anything that doesn't seem out of place.

Uncanny X-Force

I know that this is probably very late and that people already know who they are but here we go. The New X-Force..which will now be called "Uncanny" X-Force. The team was revealed in one of the chapters of the Second Coming finale. It's pretty much a team that Wolverine put together wherein all the members have no problem with killing. Every member from the last team, other than Warren, is out. Warpath has finally made his peace, Rhaine was never really supposed to be there, X-23 was sent away by Wolverine since she was starting to become just a weapon again. He didn't like how they were using her. Vanisher, i don't know. Last we saw him, he was shot in one of his brothels. I'm not sure whether or not he is still alive. The one big problem I have with the new line-up is that Domino isn't there, i don't know why she wasn't included since she'd be a very good match here.

Anyway, the new reveal happened when Scott and Logan were in Alcatraz talking about the ramifications of the actions of X-Force, how the other X-Men reacted and what would happen if guys like the Avengers found out about it. Both of them wouldn't want to have it any toher way as they knew that they were able to preserve mutant kind through those actions. Though there views clash since Wolverine thinks that X-Force is needed now more so than ever since there are even less mutants than there were prior to Second Coming. Scott on the other hand has faith in Hope and that it is a new age for them, and he doesn't want a mutant kill crew to be a part of that new age. Wolverine agrees, says that Scott should get some rest and he'll follow back to Utopia. He just needs to burn some stuff (evidence?). He then starts talking about how the meeting took longer than expected and that it also turned out differently. It was revealed that he was talking to his new team..

I really enjoyed Craig Kyle and Chris Yost's run on X-Force, afterall it was the one that brought me back into this very expensive world called comic collecting. I don't really know who Remeder is and I don't know who the artist will be either. But i'm going to get the first issue when it comes out, It will also have more lee-way compared to the other team books I'm getting. Not liking the first issue won't make me drop the title immediately. I'm really hoping for good things from this one. Oh, and for those asking about X-Force versions of Deadpool, Fantomex and Psylocke's outfits, here they are..

X-Men Monster Armor Wolverine

I used to have quite a number of toys when i was a kid, unfortunately most of them were either given away, confiscated by teachers, or lost. One of those figures that were given away was my X-Men Monster Armor Wolverine, when i got back into action figures I told myself that I'd get some of my old figs if given a chance. That's why when I had a chance, I traded away one of my Wolverine minimates for this one.

I'm not sure if this actually appeared in comics, this was released in the 90s (1997) which was a time wherein a lot of weird stuff was happening in the marvel universe. It was produced by Toybiz and it was a part of the set that based on my research, also included Cyclops, Rogue, Mystique, and Mr. Sinister himself.

The figure i got was already loose, it's not really a problem for me since as much as possible I want to open up my action figures, it's just that I don't have the heart to open them up.

Here's the review:

Sculpt:
I'm going to start of with the figure itself, and later on with the "Monster Armor" the Wolverine figure is shown as battle damaged with the torn uniform actually being part of the sculpt. You can actually see some veins in his arms and legs popping out. The hair is also sculpted pretty nicely, but the best thing about the sculpt is the boots. The tattered effect looks great especially on the pointy parts of the boots. The folds on the trunks also add a nice touch. Wolverine here looks like a mix of the normal Wolverine and the Wolverine after a failed attempt at rebonding with adamantium. I don't like how he has long arms and big hands.
The sculpt of the accessories are GREAT. The details are very nice, especially with the ridges on the fingers/claws. The details on the monster face is great too. It's simple but you can see the effort in making the accessories look hairy.
Paint:
Both the figure and the armor have pretty solid paint applications. It's a simple paint application and there are no shadings involved. Blue is blue, yellow is yellow. If ever there are smudges, it's almost unnoticeable. The biggest problem with the paint is seen on the very first picture, the single strand of hair on Wolverine's forehead was not completely painted so it looks like Wolverine has a mole. One thing I want to nitpick about but i know i shouldn't is the lack of hair on the figure, he's supposed to be hairy guy but ehh, most old figures don't have the hair.

Poseability:
This figure has the old five points of articulation; one for the head, 2 for each arm and leg. That's pretty much it, pretty common for the older toys but what's worse is that whether or not the figure is wearing the armor, it has to stand with it's legs wide apart since the pointy part of the boots will pretty much hit each other.

the figure also can't look up unless you tilt it to the side, which means he's pretty much looking forward the entire time.Accessories:
Placing the "Monster Armor" on the figure is pretty easy, all you have to do is push it in place and it pretty much locks up there. The figure looks great wearing the armor as long as you look at it from the front. The mask looks like a mask from behind. the boots are a problem too, since you can see it from behind.
Another problem i have is the claw of the left arm. It seems real awkward since it's coming out of the forearm. I know it's the right place to put it in since the sculpt matches prefectly.

Since the figure is scaled at around 5", it towers over MU and other 3.75" figures while falls short of the ML and 6" scale. I guess as a monster you could pretty much use him as a big mutated Wolverine, kinda like a Hulked out Wolverine. Here's some shot with the MU 2-pack Tigerstripe Wolverine
Overall, it's not really a MUST HAVE figure. But if you're looking for a bulky Wolverine that might look like 5'3" next to MLs. You might have found it. It's a great catch for anyone who gets it but it's not really a loss if you pass on it. My guess is that you try to look for this figure in online shops and those shops that sell vintage toys if you're looking for this one.

Review: Bowen "Logan" Minibust

Before I start reviewing my new Logan bust, let me just clarify my new comics for last week. It's weird that i remembered the ones that I DIDN'T get. here are the ones that i did and their actual pictures together with the ones I got from ebay that same week..

New Mutants #6 was from my LCS, got mixed up wtih the others. Wolverine vol.2 1, Wolverine vol.3 33-35, 73-74, New X-Men 139-141 were the ones i got from ebay.

Now that we have that out of the way, let me start with my review of the Bowen Logan Mini-bust. I first saw this thing in the November 2009 Previews, it was going for $60 and it was supposed to ship out January 2010. I pre-ordered it since i wanted to collect the Bowen Mini-busts. Afterall, i already had 3 of the 4 released at that time, the Brown one being the one i lacked. I didn't really like the hair of the piece, it looked a bit too anime for me to aprreciate. I was real happy to find out that the prototype shown in the previews were still tweaked and in my opinion, the face of the one released was way better than that of the prototype. I've read from the different statue forums that this was supposedly a Weapon X model with a cigar in his mouth and stuff, i also read that it had to be changed in order for Marvel to green light it. I won't compare it to that bust but in my opinion, the changes were for the better. Anyway, I have no idea what type of shipping they used as it took only 4 MONTHS for it to reach the stores. I actually almost forgot about this piece until my LCS texted me that it finally arrived, i found a way to gather the remaining balance i had on this piece so i can finally get it. To my surprise, the bust was actually numbered up until 1300, i had the impression that it would be around the 3000 mark. I got number 299, a pretty good number though it's not really that low.

I guess i should start of with the packaging, it's basically the same with the other Bowen Mini-busts, the front and the box have a huge picture of the product inside. The left side has the specifics of the bust such as the sculptor and the height, while the right has a write up about the character. I think the write-up changes depending on the look which is a nice touch. I think the "LOGAN" could've been made better. Or maybe it could've just replaced the Wolverine logo. Having a plain font really hurts the look of the packaging for me. At the bottom of the box is the number of the bust, mine says 299/1300. Pretty plain, i guess Bowen doesn't feel the need to make CoAs. But the packaging isn't what i'm after, it's the one inside. And let me just say I'm not disappointed with the bust at all, I don't know if it's just the excitement of finally getting it but i think this just replaced the X-Force Kotobukiya as my favorite bust! This bust is years ahead (literally and figuratively) of the last Bowen Wolverine MB released. (Tigerstripe) There's just a whole lot more detail in the bust compared to the older ones.

Here's the actual picture of the bust, the front just looks so detailed. You just get the feeling that the shirt used to be white. It looks like it's been dragged through mud. The gloves look real nice, and the way the claws are placed seems as if there were slits especially made for them. the belt is very detailed too, i think it's inspired by the belt Wolverine uses in the Origins movie, this look is probably inspired by the movie. The bullet wounds seem nice, and just to prove that this Wolverine just went through war, even the back has bullet wounds.

You can see in the picture above that the wound seems to be closing leaving only a hole and dried blood on the shirt. You could also see the way paint is applied on the shirt. Oh, and if you think I'm just going to shower praises to this piece, your wrong. I do have some problems with it, such as the claws. They are REAL fragile, they seem to have been slid inside. It's also thinner compared to the other claws so you better be careful in handling them. My biggest problem with the piece though is the base. Unlike the other 4 Wolverine mini-busts, this one doesn't have it painted. It's a plain black base with claw slashes on it.
The wound on the head is a nice touch too, it shows the adamantium skeleton and it's nice that it's the same color as the claws. The face, though looks a bit anime-ish, looks nice cause it really seems that Logan is pissed. Ready to cut you open if you get on his bad side.

Overall, i think the bust is really good. Bowen lists the product as sold out so i guess if you want it, go check if your LCS ordered one, if not..try ebay. I saw this bust there a couple of months ago, going for $45.00 without the shipping, which will probably end up being $15.00.

Uncanny Uniforms: Tigerstripe Wolverine

Anyone who grew up watching the animated X-Men series will pretty much associate Wolverine with this costume. This one is called "tigerstripe" probably because of the prominent stripes on the shoulder and the torso of the uniform. This uniform is probably the most recognizable to most people, though it isn't the most well liked. this uniform first appeared on the Giant Sized X-Men #1, where Xavier gets a new team to rescue his students from the living island of Kroaka(?). It was not conceived on purpose, the cover artist was supposed to draw the cat-face/first appearance uniform but he made a mistake of making the ears and the points on the boots longer. They liked that look so much that they decided to stick with it and drop the old look. Sometime around the mid1980s Wolverine dropped this style in favor of the crowd favorite brown and tan costume. Then sometime around the 90s this costume was once again used until they changed it into the New X-Men look which incorporated the style of the X-Men movies. There have been very little changes or variations to this look throughout the years that it has been used. Changes included are the sizr of the shoulder pads, color of the mask (ranging from black to blue) and the belt buckle, usually being X when he is with the X-Men and going with the normal belt buckle when he is on solo missions on his own book. Some of his most famous moments happened while he was wearing this uniform, such as going against the Hellfire Club all by himself while the other X-Men were held as prisoners. Having his adamantium sucked out from him by Magento. In terms of character development, a lot has changed about him compared to when he first appeared. Instead of being an actual Wolverine, they turned him into a teenaged boy. But when the artists drew his face unmasked, they made it look as if he was in his forties, and once again the look stuck. They also incorporated the adamantium claws to the character instead of the gloves, making it a part of the character himself.

Though the whiskers problem of the first appearance uniform was changed, the fact that it was still blue and yellow made it a lot less stealthy and intimidating in my mind. Though i guess being a superhero means that you have to wear bright colors. Since this is probably the most recognizable Wolverine look, a lot of merchandise using this look has been created already. I have quite a few of them and I'm going to share with you guys the ones that are opened. This is not counting the figures i have of him that are still unopened. And i myself admit that I'm lacking a lot of figures wherein he's sporting this look.

Uncanny Uniforms: First Appearance Wolverine

Here's a new thing for the blog, hopefully i don't get tired of doing this and continue until I finish the entire list. I plan on featuring every single one of Wolverine's different uniforms/costumes/looks on this site. As an added bonus, I'll feature some of my collections at the end of the post. Here we go..Enjoy!

The perfect way to start is to begin where it all began. Way way back to October 1974, the last page of The Incredible Hulk #180, where this little man wearing yellow and blue pops up at the last page of a comic book to join a fight between two huge beasts, the Hulk and Wendigo.

THE first appearance of THE Wolverine.

There's been A LOT of changes to Wolverine from when he was first conceptualized. The first artist assigned to create him thought that a wolverine is a female wolf, the claws weren't supposed to be a part of him, he was supposed to be a teenager. If you have read his first fight with the Hulk, it is almost as if he's a different character, he talks a lot and makes jokes kind of like how Spidey fights, and since his bones weren't bonded with adamantium, the Hulk breaks his ribs here. Oh, and poison gas knocks him out here too. Not the Wolverine we all know now. All those were changed throughout the years to create and maybe even perfect the character which is either famous or over-exposed (depends on your point-of-view).

Let me clear this up for you, Wolverine's very first appearance in comic books is actually in Incredible Hulk #180, #181 is where he is part of the cover and appears almost the entiriety of the book. This uniform has been used in very few comic books; if it is ever featured, it is usually just in flashback scenes. With good reason too, the mask on this thing doesn't really scream scary. But it's still a very important look since this is where it all started. As you can see in the picture his claws weren't in the right position, this is because they were not intended to be a part of him but instead it was supposed to be part of the gloves.The writers just changed it afterwards and made it a part of him in order to make him more unique and irreplaceable. Which is the right move, almost everyone associates claws on the hands to wolverine. When I was a kid, i used to bread knives between my fingers and pretend to be Wolverine right after watching the X-Men animated series. That wouldn't have happened if the claws were part of the gloves. This wasn't as bad as some other first appearance looks for other heroes such as Luke Cage but it also isn't as good as the real iconic ones such as Superman's and Spider-Man's. It should also be noted that for me, this isn't the worst Wolverine look ever created. There weren't a lot of things changed when they created the next Wolverine look, the changes weren't even intentional. They were a mistake made by the interior artist of Giant Sized X-Men #1. One more thing i almost forgot to note is that this is the look that was used in the Hulk Vs. Wolverine animated movie, which I think is one of the better DVD animated movies released by either Marvel or DC. It's a real nice treat, real action packed though they could have done it without other characters that popped up (Sabretooth, Deadpool, etc.) though I did enjoy Deadpool's appearance. I think it would have been better if the movie included the Wendigo instead of them.

HULK VS. WOLVERINE!!!

As far as merchandise go, i don't really have a lot of first appearance Wolverines, i don't think a lot of them has been produced already since this looked appeared and disappeared before action figures and other stuff like that. As of this writing, I still haven't gotten the Marvel Select First Appearance variant from my local comic shop, though I already reserved one. All i have as of now is the Bowen Mini-bust, and the two Marvel Legends First Appearance from the Face-off line. On a side-note, i think this is the worst variant ever made by Toybiz, they just opened his mouth and called it a variant! Though it's still better than Hasbro's repaint variants.

I don't have enogh money to own either Incredible Hulk 180 or 181 so i settled for the next best thing, i bought a reprint of it. It was published October 1986, 4 years and 2 months before i was born.

It's been a while since i posted anything new here so here i am, blogging..again. Though i seriously doubt anyone's reading.

I live in a far far away land where it's impossible for me to just go to Chicago and go to the expo personally so i rely mostly on Comic Book Resources for my updates on what's happening. This is no different.

Here are the new news about the X-Men which is arranged from least to most important for me..the site is still being updated as of right now so i don't know if this will be up to date or not. In general, most X-books will start over and go back to #1 around September or October.

X-Men #1 - "Mutants Vs. ________"

X-Factor - "When 'X-Factor' #207 comes out, fans are going to go nuts," he continued. "The last page will get us as much attention, if not more, than since Madrox ate his baby."
The only reason this is here is because i don't get this book. I'll try to grab the Second Coming supplemental reading and we'll see how it goes from there. From what i know they're like the P.I.s of the mutants, right?

New Artists - Whilce Portacio will be the new artist on "Uncanny X-Men" beginning in July, Singh announced. Leonard Kirk will be the new artist on "New Mutants," while Chris Claremont and Milo Manara's "X-Women" one shot will also ship in July and Claremont's "New Mutants Forever" begins in August.
Meh, I don't really have any preferences in terms of artists as long as they make the artwork clear and not Dillon-ish. But then again this is good news since Whilce is a kababayan if i'm correct.

Daken: Dark Wolverine- "Dark Wolverine" will become "Daken: Dark Wolverine" in September, with Liu, Daniel Way, and Giuseppe Camuncoli returning. "The key words are intrigue, violence, exploitation, sex—more of the same." So that means this book will continue even with the end of Dark Reign, huh? Let me just say that I'm very close to dropping this title, nothing really happens here. The entire Seige tie-in didn't really matter that much. I guess, whether or not i drop this will depend on how good the tie-in with Wolverine Origins will be. The writing is good, this book really makes me hate Daken (which is good) but it's just that it seems nothing will be different during the Heroic Age.

We Are The X-Men - Singh said that, following "Second Coming," the X-Men will be much more integrated into the Marvel Universe, which will explain why Spider-Man, She-Hulk and others are in the X-Men promotional images.gambit and elektra?!

Ah, so that explains having Elektra, Spidey, and the Savage She-Hulk in the we are the X-Men, i think it's a welcome addition that they'll be able to freely interact with the others again but PLEASE don't make every single hero an x-man. Though that doesn't explain Blade and vampire Jubilee..

X-Men #1 - "Mutants vs. Vampires" begins in a new "X-Men" #1 by Victor Gischler and Paco Medina.

Jubilee will once again make sparks. Now through her perfectly carved marble hard granite perfect vampire skin.

What the hell? VAMPIRES? are they trying to cash in on Twilight? Maybe get a few new readers? Hopefully they won't make Jubilee sparkle. WAIT!! her powers are sparks, right? Will check this out but i hope they make this good.

X-23 ongoing - X-23 series begins in September, written by Liu with an artist to be named later. "She's basically on a journey of self discovery. It's going to be very dark, intense book, but hopefully along the way there will be a ray of light that she'll be able to find her place in the world," Liu said.

A new X-23 ongoing? hmm, I'll try to get that one. Though the one-shot was a bit too "emo" for me,but i know X-23 is kind of like that. Even slashing her wrists and all that, though i hope this will have a great positive impact on Laura's character. From what i understand from the interview with Marjorie Liu , she'll be away from the X-Men for a while. I hope that she comes back though.

Wolverine - "Wolverine: Weapon X" will be ending, with a new "Wolverine" #1 by Jason Aaron and Renato Guedes, with covers by Jae Lee shipping in September. In it, Wolverine goes to Hell. "His soul goes to hell, andwWe're going to see what happens when he's not around to be in control of his own body," Schaefer said.

I don't know why they have to stop the Wolverine: Weapon X title, they should have just continued it on that one. Then again maybe not being the "main" Wolverine book is hurting the sales a little, either way as long as Aaron's writing the book that means it's going to a good read. I believe he's writes one of the best Wolverine stories right now. First story arc seems to be about Wolverine going to hell, how? I don't really know yet. Let's wait and see when it comes out.

New X-Force - "X-Force" will end after Second Coming, to be relaunched in October with Rick Remender and Jerome Opeña. "When Wolverine is put in charge of X-Force, it's a totally different team than Cyclops would put together," Schaefer said. "They're going to be taking on Apocalypse."

Reading the interview with Remeder got me pumped up and excited to get this one. I hope that it'll be as good as the one during Yost's run, it was a short 2 years but it was a great ride. The end also showed some closure too, as Warpath won't be a part of the team since he was able to get his revenge. Wolfsbane wasn't really supposed to be there (and she really wasn't other than the first and last story-arc) and Wolverine telling Cyclops she doesn't want Laura there. I really like that, Wolverine not wanting Laura to do what she was born and trained to do, wanting her to have a better life. Anyway, the team will be new "With the exception of Wolverine this is an almost entirely new team,” Remender remarked. “Only one other has any previous connection to X-Force, but they're all A-list character" Marvel provided us with the same thing they did with Ultimate X and the Avengers things, characters which are censored. My guess is that Psyclocke(extreme left), Fantomex (extreme right) and Archangel(flying).

there you do, hopefully this will be a good year for the X-Men. Nightcrawler was also an untouchable during the panel. I really think he'll go byebye in Second Coming. I can also see Wolverine having this inner monologue about how happy he is that the elf isn't where he is at the start of Wolverine #1.
